The Unicorn tapestries were given to Claude de Viste by Jean de Chabanne as
an engagement present. The lion and the Unicorn holding the arms are an emblem
of strength on one hand, purity on the other. These two animals symbolize the
engagement.
The organ seen in this tapestry as a musical instruments is a symbol of one
of the five senses: hearing.
