This tapestry depicts King Arthur as he would have been at the end of the 15th century. From left to right, Merlin looks at Arthur with his future wife Guenièvre, pulling out from the rock the sword which identifies him as the legitimate King. The King walks amongst Camelot's towers, then he appears with the Knights of the Round Table, banners floating, trumpets sounding for the departure for the Quest of the Holy Graal, watched by the fairy Morgane who conspires against him.
