2608 Les Amours Pastorales Motif Central
4' 8" x 6' 8"
5' 4" x 7' 2"  Bordée

Fragment de "Les Amours Pastorales" bordée

After F. Bucher (1703-1770).  Bouscher had been a superintendant at the Gobelin Manufacture since 1755.  His sketches were extremely popular.
Boucher's paintings are a faithful reflection of a gentle and refined time, entirely dedicated to love, libertinage and festivities.  For him, nature is only a context for graceful compositions, in which shepherds and shepherdesses indulge in love, flowers and music.
