Traditional verdure after a 17th century Aubusson sketch, rich in the colour and enhanced by a border decorated with flowers and "rocaille".
In the 17th century, these intense, coloured verdures adorned the homes of less affluent collectors who could not afford the tapestries owned by the grand courtiers, which were more refined in color and detail.
